Your site
Everything on this page changes hilltopcoffeepgh.com the moment you save it. Prices, hours, the bags on the shelf, a line at the top of the menu. The bits that were about getting set up live in the notes at the bottom.
What’s on
A single line for the seasonal drink or anything you want shouted about. It sits at the top of the menu. Untick it and it disappears from the site.
Contact details
The phone number, email and social handles the website shows, and the address in the footer and next to the map. Leave the phone or email blank and the site simply does not show one.
Handles are just the name, without the @. The map keeps pointing at the shop on its own; the address here is the one people read.
Other things we do
The cards under the menu: cupping, airpots, private events. Change the words, add a fourth, or take one away. A card with no title is not shown on the site.
Specials
Your seasonal board. It shows at the top of the website when it is switched on. Write what the drink IS, not how to make it. The recipe stays behind the counter.
Made local
The bakers, makers and artists you carry. Name, what they make, and their website if they have one. A row with no name is not shown on the site.
Opening hours
Set the times and the website updates itself, including the line under the shop name in the big photo. Nothing to remember and nothing to keep in step by hand.
On the site right now:
A dated line here beats the weekly times above, so a holiday closure shows on the site on the day and then looks after itself.
The menu
Change a name, set a price, add a drink, remove one. Press Save changes and the website updates straight away. Leave a price blank if it is easier to say at the counter.
Beans
The bags on the shelf, in the “Beans and merch” section of the site. Same as the menu: leave a price blank if you would rather say it at the counter.
The shop
Tees, mugs and the rest. Tick Sold out and the item stays on the page but stops being buyable, which is what you want when the last one walks out the door. To take the whole shop down while the new printer is being set up, use the switch below.
Photos
The Photos section of the website. Add pictures straight from your phone and they are on the site immediately; press the cross on one to take it off. No Save button here, and nothing is ever truly lost: a removed photo keeps its file, it just stops being shown.
Orders
Anything bought through the shop lands here the moment it is paid for. Tick one off once it is bagged, posted, or handed over.
What changed
Every save is kept. If something goes wrong, put an earlier version back.
Your password
Changes your own sign-in only. Nobody else’s, and nobody else can change yours.
